STRESS replaced with CALM - NTK

A lady in her late 50s was suffering with stress and the pressures of work that turned out to be largely self-imposed.  She works in the child care industry and was responsible for managing just under 30 child care workers and other managers besides.

Her focus was to be on her stress, but during the treatment where sometimes as the Neuro-Trainer I need to find the particular emotion that is causing stress for the person, I was surprised to discover that the emotion was ‘enthusiasm’.  I would have thought that this particular emotion was a positive emotion, not negative or stressful at all.  But as with all Neuro-Training sessions, it is not up to the facilitator to make judgement on what they believe is the issue, it is ALWAYS determined by the client themselves.  That is how the kinesiology side works so well as a tool to discover the body’s response to stress and what is really driving the issue.

When questioned about the emotion ‘enthusiasm’ she was clear that she fully understood why this would have shown as a stress for her.  Each morning on walking in the door, she believed she had to show enthusiasm in order to motivate all her staff towards a good days work with the children.  This had become such a chore for her that it was causing her stress, but she could see no way out of this behaviour.  She was stuck.

Following a balance (with this as the focus), she reported back to me a few weeks later how free she felt as she no longer felt it necessary to put on the forced enthusiasm.  She also noted how very calm she felt, how she now didn’t feel a need to check on her staff all the time and could work out her priorities for her work so much better.  She mentioned several times, just how calm she now felt throughout the day and how much smoother things seemed to be working.  This demonstrates how sometimes we have done something that may have been a helpful thing in the beginning, and as a consequence developed into a habit that is now causing you stress and may not even be necessary at all anymore.

Anxiety / Panic - things of the past - NTK

I recently treated a young woman of 15 years who had a major problem with anxiety.  She is a pianist having performed in front of audiences since a very early age.  However, she always hated performing and suffered major anxiety attacks before every single performance.

This anxiety was also a big problem for any type of ‘performance’ and was becoming a serious issue with her attending interviews while looking for work.  Her mother told me that the night before a recent interview she was in tears, was having trouble breathing properly, and was a complete mess unable to think straight.

This by the way, is a fine example of the Flight/Fight response, where under stress the brain basically shuts down three quarters of its functions (the whole of the right hemisphere and the front of the left hemisphere of the brain), in order to pump blood to the extremities in preparation for confronting/fighting or for running away.  This is a normal common stress response and in today’s society is becoming a daily occurrence so that unfortunately it then affects people’s abilities to think clearly, make decisions, and learn anything new, it affects your memory and interferes in carrying out even simple tasks.

To get back to the interview, she couldn’t think straight, couldn’t answer questions properly and felt like she had failed miserably.  Two weeks later she had another interview, but between these times I treated her for anxiety / panic and she went home, expressing that the treatment seemed a bit strange, but ok.

Her mum told the story that that evening she and her other daughter went into her bedroom to offer advice and encouragement in order to help her over the tears and anxiety.  She was quite calm and told them both clearly that she didn’t need any help as she wasn’t anxious in the least – as if she didn’t know what all the fuss was about.  She performed extremely well during the interview meeting and answering all the questions with clarity and confidence.  Her mum thinks that her daughter actually didn’t realise just how different she was from one interview to the next.

The success of Neuro-Training is that the person often doesn’t realise that some behaviours ‘just change’ and the pain, anguish, negativity, lack of confidence, whatever it is, seems to just disappear. The change is easy and comfortable and IMMEDIATE, although awareness of those changes may not become apparent to the individual until after a situation has occurred that they now respond differently too; or when they are questioned; or until they think it through.  Good stuff eh?

Confidence & Self Esteem - NTK

A married woman of 37 years old, with two teenage daughters.  She works full time as well as runs the home and is heavily involved in several committee activities in her church.  One of her main issues that she wanted to change was that she felt everyone was taking advantage of her.  As she is extremely capable and well organised, everyone thought “Oh, Andrea (not real name) will do it” and sure enough, she basically couldn’t ‘let people down’ so she took on everything that was asked of her.

Following a balance with Neuro-Training and Kinesiology, she told me a few weeks later that during a family outing at a restaurant, she spoke up to tell her family that things had to change.  The outcome of that was a drawing up a list of various home chores that each family member put their names against, until the whole list was completed.  She was thrilled as another outcome she proudly mentioned was that all these chores would be done ‘without payment’ (this obviously used to be the usual MO for getting any chores completed).

Several weeks later when I checked not only was this still being successfully achieved, but yet another outcome was volunteered.

Apparently she felt she should talk with her boss as she knew she had been more outspoken at work and was delegating jobs instead of taking them on.  Her boss said that he had noticed the change in her work style and asked her what had enabled the impressive changes.  She mentioned that she’d had some treatments that had given her more confidence.

It was clearly visible as she talked how excited she was at the changes she was seeing for herself as this also encompassed the committees she worked on in her church, so all three areas had benefited from the improved confidence and enhanced her self esteem.

It is worth noting that these changes took place with positive assertiveness and had clearly been brought about with only one focused balance carried out with Neuro-Training and Kinesiology. One very happy client.
